Dr Vijay Kumar Sharma is currently working at Apollo Super Specialty Hospital, Alhail as a Specialist in Anesthesiology since 2022. He has over 14 years of rich experience in his field. He did his qualifications (DA-2008,MD-2011,DNB-2011) in Anesthesiology from Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (MGIMS-Sewagram) which is deemed as one of the leading and prestigious rural tertiary care medical college and hospital in central India where he worked as Assistant Professor and Consultant and gained wide experience across all surgical specialties and superspecialities.He had excellent academic achievements throughout his anesthesia training and 7 international publications to his name. He co-founded and shared role as Instructor for AHA certified BLS and ACLS courses at MIST, Sewagram (MGIMS- Institute for Simulation based Training).
Dr Sharma moved to Oman in year 2016 and enriched his career by working as specialist at Starcare Hospital, Seeb for 6 years which was a JCI and WHO-PSFHI accredited facility. He has special Interest in obstetric anesthesia and Labor Analgesia and currently at Apollo Super Super Specialty hospital he supervises and caters to Anesthesia requirements across most surgical specialties.
